Bringing out the personality in a space, while keeping in mind its practical day-to-day uses, drives my design.

Hello!

I design interiors and retail stores, with projects ranging from decorating zoom backgrounds to total gut remodels. My clients include small businesses, homeowners ready to merge living spaces, remodel, downsize, or work from home, and Realtors and sellers looking to stand out in the market. My favorite projects incorporate personal and historic elements in a modern way, reflecting the individuality of my clients and bringing out their style with integrity and care. I greatly enjoy curating the rooms they love to live in.

Before starting Polished Studio I was a retail entrepreneur, opening boutiques and designing a line of accessories. I understand how important it is to create a space that others want to spend time in, as I’ve spent my career designing the experience people have as they pass through a threshold. I create a seamless overall aesthetic for my small business clients that opens doors.

I moved to Portland from Sonoma County with my husband and son, and we’ve been happily ensconced here ever since. The creative/maker aspect of the city and the amount of public space devoted to nature inspires my design. I love walking the neighborhoods with coffee as a destination, four legged companion at my side.

I’m a voracious reader of literary fiction, current events, and politics — especially as they relate to economics and societal trends — and sometimes I write. A meal shared with friends, a movie marathon, a thick novel on a rainy day, and taking turns perusing sections of the Sunday Times, are just a few of my favorite things. I volunteer registering people to vote. If you are looking for a volunteer opportunity, please consider joining me.

Thank you for visiting!
